HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY PREPARE FOR YOUR EXAMS. EXAM PREPARATION TIPS.

                                                  

Studying just before your exams can be draining. Last minute study is not an option to score the best in your exams. Here are some tips for you to achieve excellent results in your exams. Study less,study smart!


1. Make a list of chapters.

Make a list consisting of the chapters you need to learn about. Prioritize which chapter to learn first as some chapters may be easy and others may be hard. And also remember to study in order according to your list. Organize your study space, grab your snacks and water and start studying.


2. Collect all the resources you are studying from.

Collect your text books, worksheets, activity sheets, sample papers and reference books you are studying from. Having all this beforehand helps to avoid the last minute mess.

3.Read, Understand and Learn.

Read the chapter at least twice and understand it well. Mark the important points while learning , so that you can revise it once before the exam. Using highlighters and color pens can be used for marking the important points. But if you want to maintain a neat book, you can rather just underline it using pencil or pen.If you're trying to commit something to memory, you shouldn't just read the same topic again and again. You should read it aloud, according to a new study from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. If you read and speak something aloud you will remember the information more effectively. The dual effect of both speaking and hearing helps to remember and memorize more strongly.

4..Teach what you have learnt.

Teaching is learning twice! Teach whatever you have learnt. You can teach it to your friend who needs help or you can also teach yourselves what you learnt. This will also help you to remember the topics in exams.

5.Draw diagrams, flow charts and mind-maps.

The best way to learn something difficult topics is to learn by drawing diagrams, flow charts and mind-maps. This will make learning the topics very easy and effective. You can also write it on flashcards or post its to remember what you are learning.

6.Write what you have learnt.

Writing once is better than reading several times. Writing helps to remember things very effectively. Whatever you have learnt just write it once. If you don't have enough time, you can just write it in short phrases rather that writing the whole topic. Learning by writing is very important if you are learning math. Mathematics can only be learnt by writing and practicing.

7.Revise.

If you revise the topics that you have learnt thoroughly. This will help you to remember the diagrams, concepts, topics and methodologies you have learnt. If you revise all the topics correctly you will feel much more confident and it will also reduce the anxiety and nervousness and you will be all prepared for your examination. Revising the right way is very important to be well prepared for your examinations.
